Tabitha Mayberry, MCD, CCC-SLP has been a practicing speech language pathologist in Northwest Arkansas since the beginning of her career over a decade ago. Tabitha was introduced to the health care field after a car accident in 2005 left her in need of direct care services. Her experiences as a patient inspired her to become a speech therapist so that she could ensure that all of her patients were provided with client driven, functional treatments that directly related to their needs. Tabitha describes herself as a “natural communicator” and loves the opportunities she has been given in her career to watch little kids grow and develop the skills they need to express themselves.
Tabitha lives in Rogers with her beloved pup Lobo. She enjoys advocating for people with disabilities, trying new things, cooking, traveling, CrossFit and coloring in her favorite coloring books. Tabitha has spent the majority of her career working in an outpatient setting. In 2016, Tabitha was honored with the title of Miss Wheelchair Arkansas. She has specialty training in the SOS feeding approach, is a certified Beckman Oral Motor provider, and is a certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist.
Stephanie Schaaf, MS, OTR/L has been practicing occupational therapy provider for about 10 years. She is originally from Central Arkansas, and practiced in the Little Rock, North Little Rock, and Searcy areas before moving to Northwest Arkansas in 2016. She was introduced to the medical field as the parent of a micro-preemie who needed OT and PT services as an infant and toddler, and who also experienced dysphagia and silent aspiration. Stephanie’s experience with her daughter’s treatment has allowed her to approach occupational therapy from a more personal perspective, as a parent and a therapist. She loves to see the progress in each child as they move through personalized, goal-driven activities designed to highlight sensational skills.
Stephanie lives in Fayetteville with her husband, Phillip, two daughters, Charleigh and Spencer, three dogs, Dobby, Eury and Jupiter, and two cats, Smidge and Smudge, and a flock of chickens. Stephanie has specialty training in the SOS feeding approach, and many continuing education hours emphasized on feeding difficulties and disorders, and sensory diagnosis and treatment. Stephanie is the AROTA Secretary for 2022-2024 term.
Our mission is to work with our friends and their families to build the skills necessary to play and grow. We hope to help every child meet their full potential.
“We must understand that anything which animates the child is a help to his development.”
